Organic Reactions

Organic reactions are simply chemical reactions that contain organic compounds. Most often organic reactions are used to create new organic compounds. The compounds created are used in pharmaceuticals, plastics, and additives to preserve food along with hundreds of other applications.

The most common types of organic reactions can be categorized as: acid-base, addition, elimination, oxidation-reduction, rearrangement and substitution.
