Steve Jobs was an inventor and technology entrepreneur and the co-founder of Apple Inc. along with Steve Wozniak. He was born Steven Paul Jobs on February 24th, 1955 in San Francisco, California. He was adopted at birth by his birth parents Joanne Simpson and Abdulfattah Jandali. Steve was adopted by Clara Jobs, an accountant, and Paul Jobs, a machinist and veteran Coast Guard. Steve's father taught him how to dismantle and reconstruct electronics, and he proved to be intelligent as a child. In high school he met a university student named Steve Wozniak, and their love of electronics eventually brought them together as revolutionary computer inventors and businessmen when they created the first Apple computer.

Steve Jobs dropped out of college but took classes informally afterward.
Steve Jobs took a calligraphy course which was an inspiration to his later devotion to fonts and typography with Apple products.
When Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were paid for the first Atari Breakout game, Steve Jobs told Steve Wozniak that they only received $700 in total. After the 50/50 split Steve Wozniak only received $350 while Steve Jobs pocketed $4,650.
The third founder of Apple was Ronald Wayne but he sold his 10% stake only two weeks into the partnership with Jobs and Wozniak for only $800.
The first Apple computer sold for $666.66, one-third more than the wholesale cost of $500.
In 1985 Steve Jobs was pushed out of Apple and he purchased the animation studio Pixar from George Lucas in 1986.
In 1997 Steve Jobs returned to Apple as CEO. The company was not doing well and he revived it.
While working at Apple Steve Jobs took a salary of $1. He had 5.5 million shares of Apple and also had sold Pixar and was the majority shareholder of Disney stock.
Steve Jobs did not support giving to charity through Apple. He cut programs to ensure higher profits for the company.
Steve Jobs is listed as an inventor (or as a co-inventor) for more than 340 technology and design patents.
In California the law states that a person has six months to put plates on a new car. Steve Jobs changed cars every six months to avoid having to plate his car, even though the model was often the same.
In 2003 Steve Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He tried a holistic approach for nine months and then had surgery.
When Steve Jobs was 23 he had a child that he denied was his until many years later. He reconnected with his family in his later years.
Steve Jobs married Laurene Powell in 1991 and had three children Reed, Erin, and Eve.
Steve Jobs died on October 5th, 2011 at the age of 55 in Palo Alto, California, from the pancreatic cancer he had been diagnosed with several years before.
As Steve Jobs lost consciousness before he died he looked over the shoulders of his loved ones and repeated the words "Oh Wow" three times.
Steve Jobs' sister Mona wrote a book called Anywhere But Here that was made into a movie and dedicated to Steve.
