Scottish Fold Facts

Scottish Fold Facts
Scottish Fold is a type of domestic cat that originates from Scotland. All purebred Scottish Fold cats are descendants of a white barn cat called Susie that was born with folded ears. New generations of cats with folded ears were produced by crossbreeding Susie (and her offspring) with British Shorthairs and other barn cats. Scottish Fold has a status of breed in the USA, but not in Europe where European Cat Fanciers' Association declines to accept it as a breed due to the fear that folded ears may result in ear infections and deafness.
