Pomeranian Facts
Pomeranian is the smallest member of the Spitz family. It belongs to the group of Companion Dogs. Pomeranian was created in Pomerania, province in Germany (hence the name) from the large sled dog. First Pomeranians were large dog, with an average weight of 20 to 30 pounds. Since Queen Victoria preferred miniature version of Pomeranians, size of this breed was reduced for 50% only during her reign.
