While the bulk of the GMAT Quantitative section is not made up of these three concepts it is important to understand them and be able to solve problems related to them. In order to provide some practice they have been combined here.
A set is a collection of numbers (elements).
Counting methods are often used to find how many times something occurs. Often mathematicians do not actually count, but use multiplication to determine occurrences.
Probability is sometimes related to counting methods, but is the measure of the likely hood of a possibility occurring.
