Possessives
CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.3.2d Form and use possessives.
An possessive is a word that shows ownership. Nouns or pronouns can be made possessive by adding "'s". If the word already ends with the letter s, just add the apostrophe without another "s". Sometimes, possessives look like words that have the "'s" contraction for the word "is" or "has". Two unusual cases are the possessive words "its" and "whose".
