Pronoun Unclear Reference

Pronouns have to agree with the noun that they replace, and you must be clear about which noun the pronoun is replacing.
Wrong: Melissa and her mother went shopping. She bought a dress.
It is unclear whether "she" refers to Melissa or her mother.
Correct: Melissa and her other went shopping. Melissa bought a dress.
Wrong: At my school, they teach us to read. (Who is "they"?)
Correct: At my school, teachers teach us to read.
