Dependent Clause Review

Dependent or Subordinate Clause-a clause that does not express a complete thought
Example: When I went to the store
Who is talking
There are three types of dependent clauses:
Adjective Clauses-function as adjectives in the sentence. The girl who is sitting down is my sister.
Adverb Clauses-function as adverbs in the sentence. When the bell rings, it will be time for lunch.
Noun Clauses-function as nouns in the sentence. Whoever left the present was very sweet.
