Metaphor-a comparison between two unlike things.
Example: John is a fish in the water.
This means that John is a good swimmer and feels at home in the water.
Simile-a comparison between two unlike things using like or as
Example: Colby eats like a horse!
This means that Colby eats a large quantity of food.
