Atheist vs. Agnostic

Atheist – (noun) a person who denies or disbelieves in the existence of God or a supreme being.

Example:

1. "An atheist does not believe in God."

Agnostic – (noun) a person who thinks that God or a supreme being is unknown and unknowable because human knowledge is limited to experience; a person who doubts the possibility of ultimate knowledge in some area of study.

Example:

1. "I want to believe in God, but because I can't ever get confirmation that God exists, I will consider myself an agnostic."

*Tip/Hint: While an atheist does not believe in God, and agnostic may or may not believe because it is impossible for a human to know God.
