Cheetah vs. Leopard

Cheetah vs. Leopard

Both cheetahs and leopards are part of the "big cat" family.

A cheetah is a large, wild feline known for its speed and distinct spotted fur. It is the fastest land animal in the world. Cheetahs live in the grasslands of Africa and some parts of western Asia. They are carnivores that hunt antelope and other animals during the day.

A leopard is a large, wild feline known for its distinct spotted fur. Leopards live in the grasslands of Africa and some parts of Asia. They are carnivores that hunt at night, often leaping from trees. Once they have killed their prey, they often drag it up into a tree to feed undisturbed. In addition to their strength on land, leopards are also strong swimmers.

Leopards have yellow fur with black rosette spots, whereas cheetahs have tan fur with black spots. Leopards tend to be slightly larger than cheetahs. Leopards are more aggressive toward humans than cheetahs are.
