Clint Eastwood is an American actor and filmmaker who became famous for his roles in western TV and film. He was born Clint Eastwood Jr., on May 31st, 1930 in San Francisco, California to Ruth and Clinton Eastwood Sr. He weighed 11lbs 6oz when he was born. He grew up in a working class environment and attended Oakland Technical High School. He worked a variety of jobs following high school and was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War but was not deployed overseas. His career in television and film began in the 1950s and in 1958 he was cast in the western TV series Rawhide as Rowdy Yates. He was then cast in the movie A Fistful of Dollars I late 1963 and his career took off.
