Rachel McAdams is a Canadian born actress who made her Hollywood debut in the 2002 movie The Hot Chick. She was born November 17th, 1978 in London, Ontario, Canada, to Sandra Kay and Lance Frederick McAdams. Rachel was active in sports and student life in school but was not fond of the academic side. Rachel attended Shakespeare and Disney summer camps as a child because of her interest in performing as a child. Rachel McAdams attended Toronto's York University and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts honours degree. She appeared in an MTV pilot in 2001, a Canadian film in 2001, and The Hot Chick in 2002, which launched her Hollywood career.
