Quiz Overview

Description

Function notation typically takes the form of an equation in which f(x), which is pronounced "the f of x," is equal to a "set of instructions" that tells you what to do with x. For example, if f(x) = 2x + 1, you are told that the f of any value will come from multiplying that value by 2 and then adding one. Though f is used often, you could also be presented with, for example,g(x). You might also see newly defined symbols and terms on the SAT. These questions, like the function questions, give you a set of instructions that you will need to apply to the terms in the problem.
