December 26, 1990 | Biersack was born. Andrew Dennis Biersack was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where his father was in a punk band and Andy attended a Catholic school. |
2000 | Biersack grew up(2000-2008). Andrew spent most of his childhood being bullied because he was different. He was Goth before it was cool. |
2003 | Biersack’s first band. Andy’s first band in eighth grade was called “Biersack.” Him and several friends would make their own cd’s and pass them to everyone they knew. The band only performed one show. |
2005 | Andy moved for his career. At the age of fifteen, Andy left his home for Burbank, California. He made a living acting in television commercials and doing print modeling. |
2006 | Andy moved back home. Biersack moved back to Cincinnati to attend a performing arts high school. He majored in vocal music and drama. His band Biersack went through changes to become the Black Veil Brides. |
September, 2009 | Biersack’s band was signed. The independent label StandBy Records signed Black Veil Brides after watching them perform at a local bar. |
December, 2009 | Black Veil Brides went on their first tour. After signing with StandBy Records, Biersack and the rest of Black Veil Records embarked on a United States tour. Titled “On Leather Wings,” the tour promoted their debut album We Stitch These Wounds and pushed it to number one on the Billboard Independent chart. |
June 14, 2011 | Black Veil Brides released their second album. Set the World on Fire was released through Lava Music/Universal Republic records. Many interviews with Biersack state that he was most proud of this album. |
August, 2011 | Black Veil Brides miss the first week of Vans Warped Tour. After a fall from a fifteen foot pillar in Hollywood, Biersack was unable to perform at the first week of the Vans Warped Tour. He fell forward, hitting his chest on the edge of the stage, shattering three ribs and displacing one rib. |
October 26, 2011 | Another stage injury. On tour in the United Kingdom, Biersack broke his nose on a drum riser during a solo performance. He missed several solo dates, but performed with Black Veil Brides two days later. |
January 8, 2013 | The third and final Black Veil Brides album was released.Wretched and Divine The Story of the Wild Ones was released as the last Black Veil Brides album. |
May, 2014 | Andy Black. During a magazine interview, Biersack revealed that he was working on music outside of his band. He explained that his solo project under the name Andy Black would have a sound unlike that of his group and was inspired by 80s synth and Goth music. He sensed that he could not create that sound with his band. |
January 6, 2013 | Legion of the Black was released. The full length feature film was released in support of the Black Veil Brides’ last album. |
January 8, 2013 | Biersack released his first solo single. Hot Topic stores and Andy Black released his first solo title. They Don’t Need to Understand was released as a music video. Biersack, as the video premiered, reminded his fans that this was a side project and Black Veil Brides would release new music in the future.Andrew Dennis Biersack was bullied as a child. Growing up, he wrote many lyrics that help teenagers today understand that it is okay to be different. Biersack’s creativity and perseverance helped him become a rock legend. |
